Long story short, I'm doing this to make it so that if people want to play on a map like that, they should at least play on the version of it that doesn't choke-hold their FPS. and the map itself is horrible according to other people, but I'm not concerned about whether it is or not with this project it's currently the most popular RP map, so people like it. I'm doing this because of the fact that the original map was horribly done in terms of optimization. I've taken it upon myself to optimize the map and fix multiple errors in it, and, even though I've only gotten to a2 so far, the FPS gain has been gigantic FPS is at least doubled in front of the police department, even when it's populated. And, you know, the entire map in general. The creator of v2 was a horrible optimizer, as shown by the fact that lower end computers struggle in more crowded sections like in front of the police department. That being said, you can probably figure that this is an edit of rp_downtown_v4c_v2. After putting the first alpha build of the map on the server, the player count declined severely for the time that it was on because everybody wants to play on rp_downtown_v4c_v2, not some server-specific map edit.
Rp_downtown_v4c_v2a (known as v2a from this point on) was originally a job that a server owner came to me with. You can get it by extracting it with bspsrc.
